I think one of my biggest frustrations with the Sims is how limited it can be in terms of home design. It didn’t take me long to run out of ideas with the base-game items, and eventually, I started getting the expansion and stuff packs just so I could build with their items.
I even started following a bunch of different Instagram accounts dedicated to design for the Sims 4, watching what they created and then driving myself crazy trying to find those items in official packs.
Lately, I’ve been getting back into the Sims 4. It’s been about a year since I played with my virtual family, made up of an incredibly ginger me and two randoms. So, instead of picking up where I left off, I decided to start fresh.
Which of course meant I needed a new house.
I recently picked up a few of the older expansions for my game, City Living and Cats and Dogs. And with so many new housing items and possibilities, I wanted to try something I hadn’t really before: I wanted to build my own house from scratch. Continue reading “Building Hacks for the Sims 4”→
If you’ve ever experienced the U.S. version of the Office, you’ve experienced the sheer joy and face-palmery that is Dwight K. Schrute. He’s a real unique character, if you will.
One of my favourite mini-scenes of Dwight is his obsession with Second Life, where you can literally be anything and he chooses to be exactly as he is now, plus flying. It’s just such a perfect example of his personality. Continue reading “How I Got Hooked on the Sims”→
