It’s been a while since I posted, and I am sorry for that! I’ve missed being here and sharing my misadventures with you all.
I’ve been having a bit of a hard time with mental health between personal things going on and some overwhelming projects at work, but in the last couple of weeks, I’ve turned a corner and am finally feeling like myself again!
It did take the entirety of March, though, and a few things have happened in that time. So I thought I’d just update you, since I have plans to dive into some of these things more in the next few weeks!
I’ve been pretty obsessed with Bandle Tale.
If you haven’t heard of it, this little cozy game is the last of the side-story games being developed out of the League of Legends universe by the Riot Forge. And let me tell you:
It. Is. Adorable.
If it weren’t enough that the game is a cute crafter-style game based in the world of the yordles, famously the cutest part of Runeterra, it’s also entirely based on knitting of all things.
You go around collecting yarn, making it into thread, and spinning that thread into the magic that binds all of Bandle City—all from your portable backpack-house.
So yeah, I’ve been obsessed because it’s all of my favourite things, cozy, crafty, and yarn-y. Stay tuned because I’ll have a bigger post on it to share with you all soon!
I’ve also finally discovered Fortnite.
I know what you’re thinking. It finally happened; she caved and tried out a first-person shooter game. But you’ve got another think coming!
I did try a FPS game, but it wasn’t this one. My interest in Fortnite was solely for the Lego mode.
If you haven’t seen it yet, Lego Fortnite is basically what you’d get if they made Minecraft out of Lego and gave it proper graphics. It’s a massive open-world builder that gives you the option to either create buildings from Lego sets or from your own imagination.
I’ve only really tried out the sets (and naturally love the beachside one), but I’m excited to play around with the regular blocks and see what’s possible!
And I’ve been trying to stream more.
I’m a little iffy so far on whether I genuinely like streaming, primarily because my social anxiety tells me I’m being a weird doofus every time I boot it up. But I’m also trying to slay that particular dragon, so I’ve been pushing myself to try it anyway.
It’s actually turned into a creative project for me, between learning how to design animated overlays and creating my own setups. It’s even gotten me into 3D character modeling, which is a story for another day.
YOUR TURN
