I recently discovered that HGXIV is a thing, and it’s probably my favourite thing. The clever Twitter account is a play on HGTV, and has all kinds of inspiration for builders in Final Fantasy XIV!
After I saw a design from Ashen Bride for a Hamptons-style suite with the most amazing (and incredibly finicky and tedious) ceiling design I’ve seen yet, I decided to try my hand at something similar, and turn it into a full, sunny beach house with a blue theme in honour of my favourite mage.
The stairs were another big inspiration point for me, and the idea for them comes from another build that Ashen did for a commission project.
