It’s been a while since I shared how I’m dressing my character in Final Fantasy XIV. We’ve seen plenty of new releases (and let’s not talk about how many Fantasia changes) since the original post!
So today, I thought I’d share what I’m doing these days as far as the real end-game goes, and maybe it’ll inspire you with your own fashion-forward adventures.
Casual tactical
I was never big on PvP in FFXIV before I discovered you could get furnishings from it—and it’s only been recently that I’ve started to like some of the gear options, too! This set, inspired by one of the pieces I found, definitely took on a modern gunslinger vibe without leaning too far on the intense tactical side.

Here’s what I used to make it:
- A pink cherry blossom corsage from the marketboard
- The Model A-2 tactical top from the Wolves’ Den with rose pink dye
- Street handwear from the online store
- Isle farmhand’s cutoffs from the island sanctuary quests with Rhotano blue dye
- Isle explorer’s boots from the island sanctuary vendor with mole brown dye
- The Makai hand mortar from the Wolves’ Den with rose pink dye
Mom jeans
I love a good pair of comfy jeans in my day-to-day life, and I couldn’t help but think of the mom jeans trend when I tried these bottoms on. And of course, if you’re going to rock the mom jean vibe, the rest of the outfit has to be classy yet comfy, too.

Here’s what I used to make it:
- Endless summer glasses from the Moonfire Faire with soot black dye
- The Lucian prince’s jacket from the FFXV crossover event with shale brown dye
- False nails from the Ananta tribe with rose pink dye
- Frontier trousers from the marketboard with Rhotano blue dye
- Dalmascan leather shoes from the marketboard with pastel pink dye
Sassy and classy
I’ve apparently gone through a whole phase with discovering previously gender-locked clothes because that’s the main inspiration in this set, too. These classy-looking joggers are actually a set of men’s pants that got unlocked not too long ago, and the rest of the outfit came from some real outfit inspiration I found on Pinterest.

Here’s what I used to make it:
- Endless summer glasses from the Moonfire Faire with soot black dye
- A street jacket from the online store with seafog blue dye
- False nails from the Ananta tribe with rose pink dye
- Far eastern officer’s bottoms from the online store with soot black dye
- Summer sunset sandals from the Moonfire Faire with metallic brass dye
Bad Janet
Inspired by all the Bad Janets of Good Place fame, this outfit is one of my favourites and a really easy, rather lazy cosplay within the game. It’s a pretty simple outfit to put together, and I personally love pairing it with padjali weapons because that’s the closest thing to what I can imagine a Janet, with all her powers of summoning, using.

Here’s what I used to make it:
- The emperor’s new hat from Goberin
- A calfskin rider’s jacket from the marketboard
- False nails from the Ananta tribe with rose pink dye
- Cotton tights with jet black dye
- Eastern socialite’s boots from the online store with jet black dye
Cheeky Aerith
Full disclosure, this is only one of two Aerith outfits I have in my glamour dresser, both used exclusively for my healer classes. While the other one is a more traditional take with the long pink dress, this is a more modern take with the best I could do to match the white dress she wears in FFVII Remake.
It is perhaps a little cheekier than what Aerith would wear, but I like to think it channels her personality in a visual way.

Here’s what I used to make it:
- A pink cherry blossom corsage from the marketboard
- A street jacket from the online store with Dalamud red dye
- A dirndl’s wrist torque from the online store
- A southern seas skirt from the marketboard with snow white dye
- Survival boots from the marketboard with dark brown dye
